Don't Act Like A Sobby Model, You Just Won The Lotto

No time for words today. I will be having a chillas on Saturday and it's going to be epic.

It's Been A While Since We Last Spoke And This Is Gonna Sound Like A Bad Joke

*
My life has been consumed by Malva (pudding) Mondays, redecorating my room (which looks hot and slightly creepy - just the way I like it), obsessing over Kaylee Pedro's Sweet Sixteen this Saturday, going to "chills" (or chillas if you're black), not attending to a significant other, trying new make-up looks, writing my book, designing up a storm for my very far away Grade 11 V-Ball and Matric Dance, hustling for a flat iron (which is inevitable) and - can you believe it - school. Oh, and obsessing over Ziggy Ndala's sexy navel. Hey, I like what I like and you eat potatoes. (Unless you're allergic and I am terribly sorry.)
One thing has been missing, however. And that is Venus and Mauve. My blog. The blog I promised never to abondon. The blog I have left just like my dirty socks to fester in the dark far corners of my drawer. And that is a horrible crime. What would I do without my blog? This is the only thing stopping me from a) getting into horrible fights with myself and b) being sent to an asylum.
But never fear, all is good here.

OK, fine. I haven't necassarily had the busiest weekend ever but I did have a good time and that always counts for something. I did also almost land face first into horse doodoo which counts for nothing. Nothing at all.

It Goes Off Like A Gun, Brighter Than The Sun

I'm going to fucking lose my mind. Fashion TV Dining Lounge in Brooklyn has a serious dress code after six p.m. and an age restriction of no under 23's after seven p.m. How lame! I figuratively die. My dream for my birthday this year is to have dinner at FTV and go dancing and cause all kinds of havoc but no! For once my dad is on board but is FTV Brooklyn? I was sobbing into my phone as I told Lesego I'd have to settle for Rhapsody's.
There is next to none exclusivity and cosmopolitan-yness in Rhapsody's. For the fact that there's one in Sunnyside that's apparently mega ghetto. And top it off, my mom hangs out at Rhapsody's! Yeah, she's pretty hip and well dressed but she's almost forty. Like I wanna hang out with cougars and MILFs. Talk about a glimpse of the future.
I've got a migraine even!

I Don't Wanna Be Anything More Than What I Been Tryin' To Be Lately

Wow, OK. Suffering from serious ugly cry headache right now from SCA when I spilled about my depressing family history. Yeah. It's been a very mixed up week and I'm totally off my rockers tutoring my little brother free of charge because I desperately (ew, ugly word) want to go to Orchards on Saturday. And I'm mucho depressed because I found out that one in fifteen high school graduates of 2015 won't be able to find work. Apparently, 73% of the world's unemployed are all young adults. Yikes!
But I do have some interesting tales to dispense about certain girls who assume that hoe is an attractive quality outside a Trey Songz music video. What is the world coming to?

Dossier is a magazine I decided I totally wanna work for!

Two very pretty dresses from Tony's Crib in Hatfield Plaza.
Love, love, love the blue one!

Silver Moon in Hatfield Plaza

The cover of my favourite book by Judy Blume: "Forever"

Cute outfit sighted yesterday at Silver Moon. If only I could afford to spend R245 on a cardigan alone.

Tonight the City is Ours

I was back at the old stomping ground: Menlyn Park baby! I've got a new attitude and a new love of Samsung. Lesego, Amber and Titus couldn't make it but I know how to have fun. Spent the best afternoon with Jessica Lourens, Sphelele Mabunda, Jessica's brother Luke, Jessica's MMA Fighter ex Sean (who's Dutch by the way), Sean's possy, Carlo Cupido and his cousin or something Kenno/Keenan (how do I get those two names mixed up), Paballo Mangala and Kelebogile (Kele) Masemola. It was fabulous. We got free T-shirts with our caricatures on from Samsung, fooled around on the roof, made new friends and almost witnessed a fight (niggers be such pussies these days). I also got to hang out in a vintage car. How great is that?

I am totally developing an unhealthy obsession with making collages right now. Anyway, my very awesome outfit was totally last minute thinking. As usual I've got my black sneakers, high waisted shorts, the pink and grey kangaroo top was from my sister's closet (a top I wish I hadn't wasted on Menlyn), my silver bracelets, silver heart necklace and silver chain.

These are a few of my new favourite things. Dr. Pepper, my lip gloss from Identity, my Samsung Caricature top, my cellphone (wait, isn't that an old favourite?), my name badge (I'm a ego-maniac who loves her own name, sue me. Please don't. I'm, like, piss broke), my sister's Dolce & Gabana purse, a post card from Namibia and my notebook.

Biggest smile ever. I sat there with my cheeks tearing in half as the artist took his damn time. At least I'm somewhat prepared for beauty pageant pain. Not that I'd ever enter. Bitter story for a bitter day. And that Galaxy Note makes my Ace look like a poes.

Jessica was totally high here and Sphelele "invested" in some weird neon clip in streaks. I am so jellin' over that mannequins boobage right now.

Me, Sphelele and Paballo in the bathroom pouting our asses off.

The wind did such a number on my hair when we were on the roof, right out in the open. We were watching Sean try to start shit with a bunch of people of sorta know. They got so scared they actually took off their bandannas and pulled their pants up. Who knew ghetto ass guys who included "Swagga" as part of their names could be so scared of a white foreign dude? Then again, Sean's got some sique tattoos.

Me, Kele and Paballo looking sick with sunnies that really don't suit us. Oh, well. C'est la vie.
Never mind my anger with Kele because I think she totally got with Carlo today. Which is totally wrong.
Never mind my slight guilt because when I was kinda pissed that Titus couldn't make it I flaunted our non-officialness around. I think I totally gave another guy named Shaun (he used to go to Sunnyside Primary) with a damn sexy lip ring ideas and pretended to be Kenno's girlfriend and let him hit on me without telling him I sort of have a boyfriend. Sort of.
Never mind that I have a whole lot of cleaning to do in my room. It's okay, work for tomorrow.

Next on my social calendar (like I have one) is Kaylee Pedro's Sixteenth Birthday Party at (groan) The Bowling Club. Totally going for the cake. And to say wish Ms Pedro a happy birthday of course. I'm not mother of fuck ghetto.

Throw Some Glitter On and Get A Bucket of Red Paint

Valentines @ St Mary's DSG with U-PARTY and Euphonik

Finally, they're here again. The U-Parties. The bestest and funnest under eighteen parties ever--so you know all the paedophiles are jealous!
Ahem: "U-PARTY helps schools and charities to fund raise by hosting under-18 socials at their premises. U-PARTY has developed these socials to such a degree that we can claim to be the most successful under 18 social production company in South Africa. Our reputation has been built on a solid foundation of providing the best entertainment to high school students in an environment that remains safe and secure. This is all thanks to various industry partners including ER24, Gemini DJ, Bhejane Events, AVIS, Universal Music, EMI Music, Puma, Optimus01 and Wharfedale Pro."
They can also claim to be the most successful under 18 social production company because there really aren't any other besides Pandemonium which is a lot more white people oriented and very disgustingly The Bowling Club situated.
I really wanna go to the Valentine's one (as advertised above) at St. Mary's Diocesan School for Girls (DSG, the school my father really wants me to consider which is bull crap because the fees there are fucking insane and private school's for stuck-up pricks--total fuckery) because U-Parties are AWESOME!
Like, for realsies. They're the bomb and they always have an unlimited supply of Red Bull which is like [legal] kid alcohol! Well, except for Smirnoff and Brutal Fruit, I guess but then again that isn't so legal. What? You've never seen my peers at The Bowling Club knocking back bottles like it's going out of style.
Back on topic, for the past week everyone has been gettin' all hyped up about this party. Probably because it is the first one of the year in Pretoria and it's gonna be awesome and we all need to distress first month of school aches and jitters. Don't we deserve to? We've kept up our lame New Year's Resolutions long enough (but mine was really, really, really easy: no orange clothing because I'm totally above the lame-osity of New Year's Resolutions).
Heh, the way I'm getting so hyped up for this, though. You'd think I go to these things, like, all the time. Oh my gawd-uh! But, really I've only ever been to one; The Mt. Edmund Christian Brother's College U-Party with Black Coffee who's like an insane in the membrane DJ, my friend. CBC had it right!

Look at all the fun we had then:

That girl (bottom row, centre picture) practically heaving herself onto the stage is a true testament to the fact that U-Parties are awesome! And if you look really closely in that final picture you can see me getting totally drowned in gyrating bodies trying to get to my mom before she got on stage and called me out with a microphone. Parents actually do that, mine are no exception. Best night ever, even the serious Red Bull hangover I had wreaked of epictude.

And the DSG one is with Euphonik! What-what! Listen to me getting all excited about a house DJ I've hardly ever listened to. Uh, ja, meneer! Now to calm the fuck down, drink some freaky pineapple juice, put on actual pants (don't ask) and kick Jason and Brandon outta my house! Before it rains and they're forced to stay.

Later (and frikkin' wish me luck on getting my dad to take me to a party that ends at 23h00)
